Receiving error ADMU3007E: No configuration defined when starting the resource manager

Symptom

The startserver.log file reports the following error:

[1/17/08 7:55:03:360 EST] 0000000a WsServerLaunc E ADMU3007E: Exception com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.NoServerDefinedException: No configuration defined for server: ICMRM

Cause

The name of the application server must be submitted in the exact uppercase or lowercase characters as defined at installation and configuration.

ADMU3007E Exception in WAS

Issue:
ADMU3007E Exception com.ibm.es.process.exception.InvalidGroupException: PROC0002E: Group:[root]does not Appear to be valid on this system.Process Could not be Created

Solution:
Go to WAS Console --> Application Server --> <Server Name> -->Java and Process Management -->Process Execution

Change Run As User property to <wasuser> and change Run As Group property to <wasgroup>
